Agricultural volunteer placements connect volunteers with communities and organizations that are managing their own agricultural production and are seeking assistance. The core duties in an agriculture placement generally focus on the day to day operation of the farm/garden. General tasks tend to include ploughing, planting, irrigation and harvest depending on the season.
While these are the core responsibilities, agricultural projects can also involve assisting with briquette stove, solar stove, sustainable construction or other community-based projects.
Agricultural volunteers do not require any formal training or experience. A keen interest in community-based production and a willingness to assist with the physical duties on a farm, is all that is required. However, many organizations would be able to significantly benefit from the assistance of volunteers with training and/or experience.
The placements below show a few potential placements that are currently in our system. However, there are several other agricultural placement options that have yet to be uploaded.
If you do not see specifically what you are interested in below, please complete an application for the country you are interested in and our team on the ground will check with local organizations to see if we can connect you with the agricultural volunteer placement that you are looking for.
